From what I see, they have a great plan to indoctrinate the new freshmen. I plan on moving my son in, maybe a final meal, and driving back to San Antonio that night. I'll admit, San Antonio is a lot closer than most, but I really feel I would only hinder his ability to get immersed with new classmates.
Agreed. We are flying from California and he is our youngest so it's me who is having the anxiety--not him! We decided to leave after the family picnic to let him get acclimated. Thank you for the reply!
When is the picnic?
At orientation this week, the leaders at parent session said that there are a lot of welcoming activities for the students and not necessarily parents. They said students are pulled if you stay between seeing you and doing the activities. I have reservations through the weekend but may change to leaving on Friday now. Probably depends on your student too! Hope this helps
